A systematic study on three-roll continuous straightening process for LSAW pipes

Aiming at the low efficiency and unstable accuracy of current mold-pressing straightening for LSAW pipes, a three-roll continuous process is proposed in this study, which uses roller instead mold bending. According to novel technology, calculation model theoretical moment derived based on springback equation plane bending with small curvature, initial curvature established new deflection detection method. Furthermore, numerical simulation analysis carried out pipe case, experimental platform built experiments. The research shows that required directly related rather than fitting curve, low-order simple-fitting has highest reliability. In order control section distortion blind area, should follow equal diameter design principle, empirical formula span estimation given. Under optimal conditions, straightness corrected tubes can be controlled within 1.5‰ ovality 0.5%, proves feasibility reliability process.
